The Lord Dean was honoured by the conferring of an Honorary Doctor of Laws by the University of Dundee at the winter graduation help in the Caird Hall Dundee on the 22th November.

Four new members certificates were issued to John Fyffe, Landy Watson, Adam Cuthbert and Iain Henderson, signed and dated “On which day they were by the Lord Dean of Guild and Assessors duly and lawfully created and admitted a Free Guild Brother of the City and Royal Burgh of Dundee… .”
The Annual General Meeting of the Guildry Incorporation of Dundee, presided over by Lord Dean Joe Morrow, was held in Dundee City Chambers. Lord Provost Bill Campbell is pictured welcoming the Guildry Brothers.
The Annual Meeting was followed by a fascinating talk by Mark Dennis, former Ormond Pursuivant of Arms, who designed the recently commissioned ceremonial sword “The Elizabeth”. The sword, now part of Scotland’s Crown Jewels, was presented to King Charles III as Scotland marked his Coronation in 2023. Mark Dennis (right) with the Lord Dean and Lord Provost

The Assessors met in the delightful surroundings of Rufflets Hotel, St Andrews for the annually held Country Meeting on Friday 30th June 2023.
