The Guildry of Dundee, originally a mercantile association, has, over the years, developed into a charitable organisation whose aims are as follows;

1. To uphold Dundee traditions and inform of the Guildry’s place in our City history.
2. With its strong social, commercial and academic links, to promote the interests of Dundee and its citizens.
3. In association with Dundee’s Schools and Learning, The Universities, and Colleges to organise educational competitions geared towards the City, its development and history and dispense charitable bursaries and prizes.
4. Through its membership of the Court of Deans of Scotland, to promote the City of Dundee nationally.
5. To provide additional support to the Lord Provost and elected Council members, as and when required.
